Tyler Berry

Tyler (he/him) grew up in Bellefontaine, Ohio and developed a love for music and the arts at a very young age. Tyler was active in every band, choir, theater, and every art class available and even later continued his education at The Young Americans College of Performing Arts in Corona, California.

During his college years he was able to travel around the United States, as well as Japan, teaching music workshops to all ages. With piano being Tyler's main focus, he now has over 15 years of experience, as well as piano teaching expertise.

After college, Tyler immediately started his entrepreneurial journey and was quickly granted the opportunity in his hometown to open his own thriving business, The Olive Tree, in summer of 2020 (yes, in the heat of the pandemic). The Olive Tree quickly evolved over the years and made a significant shift in spring 2022 and became the first and only gay bar in its county's history. Tyler saw a need that was both personal and community-driven that focused on inclusion and supporting the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC community of his rural small town. Activism is a big part of Tyler's identity with experience in non-profit work and event organizing.

Tyler has been the office Manager at Blue Tree since July 2023 and is so thankful to join the Blue Tree family while getting back to his music roots. Alongside this role, Tyler is also teaching piano at Blue Tree, as well as working with our choir and event planning.

Outside of Blue Tree you can find Tyler at a Farmers' Market near you or at a pop-up festival with his side hustle, Tipsy Tea. You may also see him in his natural habitat in the aisles of Trader Joe's!
