Blue Tree Songbirds is an all-ages neighborhood children’s choir with open enrollment 2x/year. Once enrolled, students commit to the session of rehearsals and performances (October-December and February-April) culminating in one main performance each session and other volunteer performances such as holiday caroling and singing at local nursing homes.

A typical rehearsal includes vocal warm-ups, physical/movement activities & choreopgraphy, and of course, singing! Rehearsals are an hour long on Sunday evenings, from 5:00pm-6:00pm.

Performances are free and open to the public. The choir showcases songs revolving around a theme. Each student receives a Blue Tree Songbirds T-shirt (included in the enrollment fee).

While always working toward a performance, the focus of the choir is to provide a unique musical experience by fostering confidence and camaraderie among students through working together on music they love, while taking ownership of their own individual parts. Students have the opportunity to audition for special parts and solos.

Songbirds is $225/session for all current Blue Tree members (students must currently be enrolled in private lessons at Blue Tree) and $240/semester for non-members. BONUS: Students who are also taking private voice lessons at Blue Tree receive an additional $25 off!

Enrollment deadline is one week prior to the first rehearsal of each new session. Check our calendar for information and dates.

The theme for Spring 2024 is “Back to the 90s”! There are 10 rehearsals from Sunday, February 25 through April 28, and two performances the first weekend of May at Midtown Global Market and The Blue Tree Annex.
