Taylor Eichinger (she/her) grew up in the Twin Cities and is an experienced music educator and performer. She studied Instrumental Music Education at North Dakota State University (B.M. 2017) and has taught middle school band and general music, as well as high school band, jazz, marching band, and chamber ensembles.
Taylor began playing saxophone in middle school in 2005, and music quickly became her passion. She has since become a multi-instrumentalist with a focus on woodwinds, and has performed in a variety of music ensembles, including wind ensembles, big band, jazz combo, saxophone quartet, pit orchestras at several local high schools, and various other musical projects.
One of Taylor’s favorite parts of being a musician is all of the cool places she has been able to travel to and play music. Her travels both as a student and now as a teacher have brought her all over the country and overseas, and her favorite trip so far was to Ireland in 2015, where she performed with the NDSU Gold Star Marching Band in the Dublin St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Taylor loves helping her students learn and grow as musicians as they find their voice and have fun too! When she is not teaching and performing, Taylor enjoys walking around Lake Nokomis, doing yoga, playing video games, and curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.
Taylor teaches clarinet, flute, recorder and saxophone and currently has slots available.
