Isaac Kidder

Isaac is a Minnesota native who started playing piano in second grade. Since then he has been adding instruments to his repertoire: French horn in fifth grade, drums in middle school and guitar in high school. He was a winner of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and Owatonna Keyboard Guild piano competitions and went on to continue his piano studies at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. While in middle school, high school and college, Isaac was also active singing as a tenor in choirs (OHS Concert Choir, Viking Chorus, St. Olaf Cantorei) and performing drums, guitar and bass and singing with various bands.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Biology from St. Olaf, Isaac moved out to Los Angeles, CA and continued to write, play, perform and record music with rock, funk and hip-hop bands. After moving back to Minnesota in 2011, Isaac continued to write and record his own music and collaborate and perform with musical projects in the twin cities. Additionally, he was technical manager for 88.3 KJGT FM (Waconia, MN) until 2015.

After a brief stint living in Champaign, IL, Isaac moved back to Minneapolis in 2017 and currently resides in the Howe neighborhood with his cat Daisy. He is pursuing his masters in music therapy at Augsburg University. Outside of music, Isaac works as a data management consultant for the Comparative Genomics Lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, creates art (sculpture, painting, photography, drawing, graphic, restorative) with a special focus on public interactive sculptures and DJs weddings from time to time. He also loves being out in nature and by water and riding his 1981 Honda Silverwing motorcycle.
