Music has always been at the heart of Eliza Wheaton's life. Born and raised in St. Paul within a Brazilian household, she was exposed to diverse sounds—waking up to Bossa Nova, jazz, and classical music, then dancing with her mother to '80s rock, R&B, and pop by afternoon.
After her freshman year of college, Eliza's (she/her) professional music career began when she started writing for an independent label in Brazil, creating her sister's first EP. This led to her becoming a Sony Music published songwriter, co-writing over several original songs in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
After graduating from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in Biology, Eliza dove into the Twin Cities music scene, creating the band Bloodline with her siblings and performing at several shows across venues including the First Avenue Main Room.
In 2022, she began teaching private voice lessons while pursuing advanced training under voice specialist Magali Mussi, deepening her expertise in vocal anatomy, health, and evidence-based pedagogy.
Eliza brings both real-world performance experience and scientific knowledge into her lessons, helping students bridge the gap between technical skill and expressive artistry. Whether a student is just starting out or refining advanced skills, she creates personalized lessons that celebrate each voice's unique qualities while building strong, sustainable technique.
