Cara Laubersheimer

Cara Laubersheimer (she/her) grew up with music as a constant in her life. From an early age, she was singing in choirs and musicals - even performing the National Anthem at her brother's sporting events. As she got older, she began taking formal voice lessons. She won multiple regional voice competitions and later performed with the Minnesota Women's All State Choir.
Cara attended North Dakota State University on a music scholarship where she earned her Bachelor's of Science in Music. Here, she excelled in piano profieciency and music threory while continuing her vocal studies. Cara performed with college's top choirs and had the opportunity to teach as the soprano section leader for multiple years. She also performed in multiple operas and operettas, including "The Magic Flute" and "Die Fledermaus." One of her fondest memories is of singing a solo during NDSU's annual performance of Handel's Messiah.

Cara found a love of teaching in the surprising form of a wildlife education project at NDSU. She taught children from local schools about wildlife and conservation using exciting lessons and ambassador animals. These expereinces left deep impressions on her about the joys of working with children.

Cara is excited to be combining her passions for music and teaching at Blue Tree!
