Annie Bost

Annie (she/her) hails from Rochester, NY, where she began playing violin at age 5. She dabbled in every string instrument she had access to throughout her childhood, and added piano to the mix in late elementary school. She joined the local youth symphony in seventh grade, and in high school had the opportunity to lead as concertmaster for two years. Annie enjoys exploring different genres of music and joined her high school jazz band on violin so she could learn how to improvise.

She continued her music studies at St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota, where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Music Theory and Composition and Graduate Degree in Music Theory respectively.

Annie now plays around the Twin Cities in some local symphonies while working in marketing at a nonprofit organization. She loves exploring local bike trails and restaurants with her husband, daughter, and dog. Annie joined Blue Tree in 2022 and is excited to help students fuel their passion for music.
