Anna Hare

Anna (she/her) is a Minneapolis native and multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of classical string playing experience. She became forever hooked on the viola when introduced to it in middle school, followed by weekly private lessons and participation in the Minnesota Youth Symphony and All-State orchestras throughout her school years.

Anna holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education K-12 from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. While in college, she studied viola with Korey Konkol, performed with the U of M Symphony Orchestra, and completed extensive training in music theory, history, and conducting.

Over the last decade, she has been teaching middle school string orchestra and working as a freelance musician, playing gigs around the city with her sister, who plays the cello. Anna brings both her expertise and a passion for teaching violin and viola to each lesson. She believes that everyone can benefit greatly from learning an instrument and enjoys working with students of all ages.

When Anna isn't teaching, she loves biking around Minneapolis with her husband, hanging out with their two cats, and caring for a large collection of houseplants.

Anna teaches on MONDAYS, TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS and has slots available now!
